The roots of this partnership trace back to 2006, when co-founders DawnMarie Corneau of Corneau Wealth Management and Karen True Winslow of Wintergreen Financial met at a Boston Women in Finance luncheon. Seated next to each other, a conversation sparked about their backgrounds—one hailing from the beautiful state of Maine and the other from Massachusetts' scenic North Shore. It was during this exchange that they discovered an unexpected connection: one had purchased the home of the other’s first cousin.

This serendipitous meeting laid the foundation for a strong friendship and professional alliance, leading both founders to explore a partnership that would combine their expertise and vision for the future of wealth management.

As they began to assess their respective companies, a key focus was on developing a name that reflected their values and commitment to their clients. With both founders sharing Scandinavian heritage, they discovered that “LIV” means “life affirming” in Scandinavian languages. This resonated deeply with their mission to support clients in achieving not only financial success but also a fulfilling and meaningful life.
